H1N1 Vaccine Available to General Public at Area Clinics
Submitted by Sanford Mid-Dakota Medical Center, Chamberlain As of December 14, 2009, the Centers for Disease Control and SD Dept of Health have opened the opportunity for the general public to receive the H1N1 vaccine.
This allows any individual 6 months of age and older the opportunity to receive the H1N1 vaccine. Children between the age of 6 months and 9 years will be required to have 2 vaccinations separated by 28 days. No other requirements exist to receive the vaccine at this time.
Sanford Clinic Chamberlain and the Kimball Medical Clinic currently have doses of the H1N1 vaccine and Seasonal Flu vaccine available. Sanford Clinic Kennebec currently has Seasonal Flu vaccine on hand. Availability with be on a first come first served basis, while supplies last.
