Fatal Crash on I-90 near Chamberlain

An Oacoma man died as a result of a single vehicle rollover crash 6.5 miles east of Chamberlain on I-90.

John Christensen, 86, of Oacoma was eastbound on I-90 when he lost control of his vehicle.  Frost on the road may have contributed to the crash.  Christensen’s 1985 Ford pick-up went in to the median and rolled over.  Christensen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of crash and died at the scene.  Christensen was the lone occupant of the Ford pick-up.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.  No further information on the crash is available at this time.
