‘Welcome to Chamberlain’

Sign discussed at city meeting

Even though the chemical levels of the pool were good, the Chamberlain swimming pool did not open as scheduled on Friday, May 29 due to the turbidity of the water. By the next day, Saturday, the water clarity was acceptable and the pool opened to the delight of many home bound Chamberlain kids.

At the Monday night city commission meeting, City Engineer Greg Powell explained that they are unsure of what actually caused the cloudy water, whether it was something leftover from the filtration system or if it was an air mixture problem, but the city had deemed it unsafe due to the lifeguards not being able to see under water in case of an emergency rescue.
