2020 Memorial Day Events
Memorial Day observances in Brule County will be somewhat different this year than in past years due to COVID-19 pandemic and the need for social distancing, however the reason for the annual observance has not changed. Taking time to remember those who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces is still as important as ever.
Local American Legion Post from Chamberlain and Kimball will host the following events on Memorial Day Monday, May 25.
Chamberlain Potter Post #3
There will be a program at 10 a.m. At the Veterans park on South Main. In the event of rain, it will be at the Chamberlain Community Center. Those attending are asked to bring your own lawn chair and to practice social distancing to avoid the spread of COVID-19. If any community members would like to attend but would rather stay in their vehicle the ceremony will be broadcast on the radio. The station will be posted on a sign at the Veterans Park.
