Area farmers/ranchers seek drought management advice

Over 100 area farmers and ranchers packed the Americann Inn convention hall last Tues., July 25 to hear South Dakota State University Extension specialists and others offer information on drought relief ranging from pasture management to nitrate levels in crops. Various SDSU Extension speakers, along with Brule County Director of Farm Services Agency Jim Anderson, promoted ways of handling the aftermath and approaching the next season proactively.
