The board discusses addition of sixth grade classrooms

The addition of sixth grade classrooms on the backside of the middle school was also discussed. Four new classrooms are being proposed and would cost approximately $800,000 to complete. Nagel informed the board that the additional classroom could be paid for with the additional Impact Aid funding the school has received. Many of the board members asked questions or shared concerns about moving the sixth grade up to the middle school.
“I think the extra year up here on transition could be positive and certainly help the students prepare for high school.” High School Principal, Rick Pearson said.
