Chamberlain School continues to improve lunch/breakfast participation

The Chamberlain Board of Education traveled to Fort Thompson Monday night to hold their annual board meeting at the Lode Star Motel meeting room. Prior to the board meeting, members of the Native American/parent advisory task force met with board member Linnea Wright, Superintendent Debbie Johnson, a house parent from St. Joe’s and parents of Native American students. The group discussed Native American students’ Smarter Balance test scores, an updated Indian Policies and Procedures and other concerns.
 
Stephaine Bolman- Altamirano reported on the Indian Education Conference she attended as a member of the Task Force and thanked the board for their efforts to improve relations.
