Chamberlain Superintendent announces future retirement
At Monday night’s Chamberlain School Board meeting, Dr. Debbie Johnson submitted her resignation as Superintendent of the Chamberlain School District during the board’s executive session. The official date of her retirement is June 30, 2020; however, the contract stipulates that the procedure to follow is to let the board know by December. The board reconvened after executive session and accepted Dr. Johnson’s resignation.
Also during executive session, Steve Nelson was approved as a volunteer boys basketball coach, and a new Special Education teacher position was announced.
