City of Chamberlain gaining ground

At last Tuesday night’s city commission meeting, City Engineer Greg Powell was given approval to advertise for bids on the Priebe land development project. A few revisions are still being made by SEH, the engineering firm that is developing the plans; ads for bids are tentatively set to be placed next week.

A 12-inch sewer line is proposed to run from the AmericInn up to Byron Boulevard, and an eight-inch water line will be installed from the AmericInn to Sorenson Drive, tying onto an existing line there, and then going south along Byron Blvd, following the new road all the way back to the AmericInn. Water and sewer services for each proposed lot along the main road will be stubbed out and manholes will be installed.
