City prepares to make settlement with former A-Square owner

The Chamberlain City Commission approved entering into a settlement agreement with Lake Francis Case Development and Arthur Alphin, former owner and founder of A-Square, in a final form to be approved by the City Attorney at the city meeting Monday night. Details of the proposed settlement to resolve the issue of unpaid loans - $150,000 from the city and $50,000 from Lake Francis Case - made to Alphin were not made public at this time.

Following an executive session with owners of Shoreline Adventures, LLC Rob and Brenda Brown, concessionaires for American Creek Campground, changes to the lease that was extended to 2027 at the March 7, 2018 meeting were approved as follows.
