City residents dispute parking tickets

Police Chief Joe Hutmacher reported to the Chamberlain City Commission last Wednesday that several city residents were disputing parking tickets issued during two of February’s snow storms.
Hutmacher presented a letter from a city resident who was disputing the parking ticket and towing fee he received after the February 9 snow fall when the area received over 4- inches of snow. Hutmacher stated that the proper procedure was followed when there is a snow alert and the city intends to plow. A text is sent out to everyone on the call list, Hutmacher posts the alert on the Chamberlain Police Facebook page, it’s sent to Kelo-land, and to 234 Road report.
