City wants to ground power outages
At the Monday night city commission meeting, two NorthWestern Public Service representatives listened to a harsh reprimand from the Chamberlain City Commissioners concerning recent power outages and brown-outs that occurred in September and the slow response time of NWPS to restore power. Mayor Mutziger and City Engineer Greg Powell met with NWPS in May of 2018 because of the city’s concerns that NWPS would not be replacing the local retiring lineman with a lineman that lived in Chamberlain. According to Mutziger and Powell, they were assured they would not see any significant changes as a result of most of the linemen living in Mitchell.
