Dealing with disaster on a resort island

The Tamarind Reef Resort and Spa, located on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, advertises a beach front view and all the amenities needed for a relaxing tropical vacation including free WiFi service for guests.
Most of those advertised amenities were not available during the nearly four weeks Brett Brown of Chamberlain spent at the resort between September 23 and October 20 following the damage left behind by Hurricane Maria. Matter of fact, the only electrical power at the resort came from backup generators, and there was no WiFi!
