Giant Pheasant Welcomes Hunters
Chamberlain/Oacoma Chamber of Commerce kicked off the annual Rooster Rush promotion Friday with the unveiling of the area’s newest sculpture, a three-quarter ton pheasant welded from salvaged iron and bolted to a concrete pad. South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks officers Travis March (left) and Diane Landegent, along with area youth and the Chamberlain Chamber’s ‘Rooster’ were on hand for the event. The pheasant is located along South Main Street, off I-90, exit 263 to welcome hunters and other visitors to the area.
