RCFN observes Multi-Cultural Night

Thirty-one teams participated in the annual Ladies Only Fishing Tournament, a fundraiser for the local cancer care fund, held last weekend at American Creek Marina and the Smoking Mule Restaurant. First place went to the Happy Hookers team that included , l-r: Lori Engel, Mashays Engel, Deb Harr, and Cathy Engel Harr. They won easily with a total of 13.89 pounds, followed by the Saggy Saugers with 8.58 pounds and Aloha Strong with 7.86 pounds. Left: Some of the volunteers working the event included, l-r; Cody Burull, Kelli Potter, Melissa Hoffer and Heather Burull.Staff members from the Akta Lakota Museum and Cultural Center participated in last Friday’s RCFN event. L-r: Bailey Maier, Willow Kott and Kendra Hosek shared information about the museum and played spin the wheel with guests at their booth. This is the first year the Akta Lakota Museum has had a booth at the event. Hosek reports it was a successful event and they will be back the next two Fridays.
