February 14 is a day traditionally filled with romantic gestures. Fragrant flowers. Decadent candy. Sweet notes. And, sometimes, a few oddities.
After 21 years in business as a florist in Chamberlain, Patience Pickner agreed to a bit of a “kiss and tell” this Valentine’s Day.
“Even though Valentine’s Day is by far the busiest day of the year for flower shops, we all look forward to it with anticipation,” said Pickner, owner of the Picket Fence in downtown Chamberlain. “It is all hands on deck, take no prisoners, 150 miles-per-hour of crazy, and it’s incredibly fun and rewarding!”
