State works to stabilize marina at Cedar Shore
Morris Inc. of Fort Pierre started work at the Cedar Shore Marina in Oacoma the first of December to stabilize the north slope of the marina. The project, being completed by the South Dakota Game, Fish & Parks, Parks and Recreation Division, was required due to the repeated damages caused by high water over the past several years. According to Deputy Director of Parks and Recreation, Al Nedved, crews will slope the north side of the marina further back into the parking lot area and flatten the slope out more before adding rip-rap to stabilize the bank and keep it in place.
