Vehicles headed west on I-90 Friday morning were forced off the road at the Chamberlain Exit #265 as they waited for the interstate to reopen following the late season blizzard that hit the state March 13 and 14. While the Chamberlain area received around one and a half inches of rain, much of western South Dakota received from 6 to 12 inches of snow causing heavy drifting and the closure of I-90 from the Missouri River to the Wyoming border Wednesday. The interstate reopened about 10 am. Friday.
