Two long-time CSD educators to retire this spring
The annual Kiwanis Aktion Club Easter Egg Hunt was relocated from the Oacoma City PaThis week we would like to congratulate two members of the Chamberlain School District teaching staff, Marj Hope and Brenda Waterbury, who were recognized upon their retirement from the field of education during the 21st Annual Awards Recognition program Monday, April 8 at the high school.
The following comments were taken from the awards program. Mrs. Marj Hope came to Chamberlain in 1983 and began working at the Adjustment Training Center and at Chamberlain Elementary as a substitute teacher for grades K-6. Mrs. Hope has been a teacher, substitute teacher and para-professional while employed in the Chamberlain School District. In 1989 she received her Master’s Degree in Special Education and taught Special Ed. at Crow Creek High School, Lower Brule, Missouri Valley Detention Center and Pinnacle Programs. Her life has been spent in education so retiring will be a change.
