Weather extends last day of school to May 18
Justin Graves presented to the board regarding the National FFA conference which he and six students attended at the end of Oct. in Indianapolis. According to Graves the national onference was attended by 97,000 FFA members from across the nation. While at the conference students attended a career and college expo, national speakers, and the FFA Blue Room with cutting edge agriculture technology demos. The students also were able to attend a concert, rodeo, and tour the Indianapolis Motor Speedway while there.
Sue Keizer attended the ASHA-American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. While there she learned how to help infants with a cleft pallet both before and after repair. She attended a seminar about early intervention with autistic children from birth to three. Keizer informed the board there isn’t anyone certified in this area in the state of SD and that she may pursue certification this summer.
