Lady Cubs crowned Region 6A Track & Field Champions
Chamberlain's girls and boys track and field athletes totaled 14 first place finishes in the Region 6A track meet on Tues., May 15. The girls captured the team championship with 225 points, 55 points more than second place, Mobridge-Pollock (170). The boys team finished in third place with 153.5 points behind co-champions, Stanley County and Mobridge- Pollock with 165.5 points each.
Nash Hutmacher broke the school record in the discus that was set by Dave Henneman in 1977. Henneman's record was 156'6” and Hutmacher hurled the discus 157'2” to get his name on the record board. Hutmacher also won the shot put with a toss of 50-3.5.
