Mary Murley, 89, Mitchell, died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 6 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial was in Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery. Mary Rita Murley was born September 20, 1928 in St. Paul, MN to Joseph and Helen (Gersbach) Miller. She grew up attending school in St. Paul and graduated with a Registered Nursing Degree from St. Cloud, MN. On May 12, 1951 she married Leo Francis Murley at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Paul. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse at St. John’s Hospital in St. Paul, Mid Dakota Hospital in Chamberlain and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mitchell. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge, the VFW and American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by five sons: Michael (Jean) Murley of Papillion, NE, Tim (Louise) Murley of Rock Springs, WY, Bill Murley of Littleton, CO, Mark (Carla) Murley of Lyman, WY, Greg (Colleen) Murley of Aberdeen, four daughters: Kathleen Murley of Westminster, CO, Patty (Doug) Konechne of Kimball, Sue Murley of Westminster, CO, Janet Murley of Littleton, CO, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one brother, Fr. Vianney Miller, OFM of Brazil, South America. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 2005, two grandsons: Phillip Simek, Joshua Murley, great granddaughter, Anna Petersen, brother, Les Miller and sister-in-law, Marion Miller.
