Funeral services for Gladys L. Biskeborn, 84, of Chamberlain were Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Water of Life Assembly of God Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain. Gladys Leona Gourneau was born the third daughter of Leander and Mary Josephine (Zaste) Gourneau on November 10, 1932 in Belcourt, ND. She attended school at St. Ann’s in Belcourt, ND and Immaculate Conception at Stephan, SD. She also attended Haskell in Kansas. On December 24, 1953, Gladys was united in marriage to George Biskeborn. To this union four children were born, Deborah Ann, Daniel Allen, Linda Marie, and Londa Ann. Gladys worked at St. Joseph’s Indian School for many years serving in various capacities including at the museum and the Priest’s home. Gladys passed away on April 24, 2017 at Sanford Care Center in Chamberlain at the age of 84 years. Gratefully sharing her life are her children Daniel (Cammie), Linda, and Londa; grandchildren Libby, Alicia, Brandi, Brittney, Travis, and Trent; and great grandchildren Kaden, Aryana, and A.J. She is also survived by two brothers Francis of Pierre and Lee of Lower Brule; sisters Stella of Jacksonville, FL, Bernice of Rapid City, SD, Joyce of St. Louis, MO, Cora of Rapid City, SD, and Terri of Lower Brule; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband George; daughter Debbie; sisters Sandra and Irene and brother Steve.
