Funeral services for Lorenzo Fisherman, 55, of Lower Brule, SD were Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule. Burial followed at the Messiah Episcopal Cemetery at Iron Nation, SD. Lorenzo Keith Fisherman was born December 23, 1961 at Rosebud, SD to Theodore Alvin and Sylvia (Small) Fisherman. At a young age, he moved to Lower Brule and lived with foster parents Carol and Raymond Powers. He attended school in Lower Brule. He worked as a Lower Brule tribal employee in different capacities. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horse, riding bike, and walking. He was a true outdoorsman. He was very comical always laughing and joking with people. He was a good barterer, always getting a good deal on something. He loved being around family and friends especially family gatherings. He liked to watch old western movies and listening to country music. Lorenzo made his journey to the Spirit World on May 4, 2017 at Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 55. Gratefully sharing his life are The Kid- Chassidy Crazy Bull; siblings Bernadine Fisherman and niece Ashley Fisherman of Albuquerque, NM, Anita Grass Rope, Peggy Estes, Mark Powers, and Todd Powers all of Lower Brule, SD;; and many other nieces, nephews and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother Alvin Fisherman.
