Cubs battle Buffaloes for a 68-53 win

Chamberlain jumped out to an early lead against the Stanley Co. Buffaloes on Sat., Dec. 21, at the Chamberlain Amory only to see their lead dwindle when Stanley Co. took a 12-13 lead after the first quarter and tied the game near the end of the first half, but Hayden Evans scored with a three-point shot to end the period with Chamberlain leading 30- 29.

The Cubs started the third quarter with a 9-0 run against the Buffaloes. Stanley Co managed to add six points, but Chamberlain tallied ten more before the third quarter was over and Chamberlain had a 50-37 lead. The game became a little more physical in the fourth period with 13 fouls committed between the two teams. But, at the end of the game, the Chamberlain Cubs won 68-53 to improve their record to 2-2. Stanley drops to 1-2.
