Cubs defeat Black Panthers in final seconds

Platte-Geddes had control of the game against the Cubs on Sat., Feb. 16, until the very end of the game. The Panthers had a nine-point lead at the halftime break and held onto that lead through most of the fourth quarter. It wasn't until the final five seconds that the Cubs scored the two points needed to defeat the Black Panthers, 57-56 The Panthers maintained their nine-point lead after three quarters of play as both teams scored 16 points in the third period. Drayton Priebe came out strong in the fourth quarter hitting a 3-point shot to move the Cubs to within six points of the Panthers. Panther, Kade Starr, made two consecutive two-point field goals to put the Panthers ahead by ten.
