Defending State Champs pound the Lady Cubs

In the first home game of the new season, the Sully Butte Chargers demonstrated to the Lady Cubs why they are the defending State B Champions. The Lady Chargers won the game 71-29.
Chamberlain struggled to get the offense going early in the game. In the opening quarter, The Lady Cubs could only muster seven points. The Chargers had 18 points and added 17 more in the second quarter giving them a 35-19 advantage at half time. The third period was an offensive explosion for the Lady Chargers as they added 21 points to their score. Chamberlain trailed Sully Buttes 56-25 going into the final period. The coaches cleared their benches in the final period to allow all players to have some floor time. The clock ran continuously due of the ruling that allows the clock to run if one team is 30 points ahead of their opponent. When the game buzzer sounded, the Lady Chargers had 71 points to the Lady Cubs' 29 points.
