Gymnasts travel to Hot Springs

The Chamberlain gymnastics teams, Varsity and JV, headed west to compete against the tough Hot Springs gymnastics teams along with Wall/ Kadoka/Phillip and Stanley County. Hot Springs won their home meet with 126.50 points followed by Chamberlain with 122.60, W/K/P scoring 115.20 and Stanley County ending with 80.10 points. Amelia Jones claimed the All-around title with 32.95 points and Allison Hough finished in fourth place with 32.10 points.

Jones took first on the Beam (8.90), third on the Bars (7.45), fourth on the Floor (8.15), and fifth on the Vault (8.45). Allison Hough finished in second on three different events, Floor (8.55), Vault (8.70), and Bars (7.70). She tallied 32.10 points for a fourth-place finish in the Allaround competition. Grace DuVall picked up a pair of fifth place finishes on both the Floor (7.95) and Beam (7.50).
