Lady Cubs end season with a win against Jones Co.
It was Parents' Night at the Chamberlain Armory and the Lady Cubs showed their appreciation to their parents for all the support during the year. The seniors, Alayne Daly, Paige Reuer, Brenna Comfert, Izzy Tyrell, Jamie Pazour, and Emily Sinkie participated in their last home game of their high school career on Mon., Oct. 23. The Lady Cubs swept the Jones Co. Coyotes in three sets, 25-13, 25-10, and 25-18.
In the first set, the Lady Cubs scored the first four points including two aces by Izzy Tyrell. As the game progressed, the Chamberlain girls scored points off of a kill by Paige Reuer, and three kills by Hannah Anderson. Brenna Comfert had a kill and three aces. By that time, Chamberlain had a 13-8 lead. Jones Co. scored three points to bring the score to 13-11, and that would be the closest they would come to the the Lady Cubs. The Cubs had five earned points and five unearned pointsin the ten point run against the Coyotes. The Lady Coyotes trailed the Lady Cubs, 23-11. Jones Co scored two more points before Alayne Daly and Hannah Anderson made the final two kills to end the set, 25-13.
