Lady Cubs girls' basketball returns 13 players
The Chamberlain Lady Cubs have 13 returning letter winners this season. One senior graduated, but the same girls will get a chance to play as a team one more season. Returning for the 2017-2018 season are; seniors, Alayne Daly, Brenna Comfert, Sierra Kenobbie, and Paige Reuer. The juniors include; Makenzie Sorensen, Avany Long, Treyah Sitting Bear, Breanna Rademacher, Taysa Hutmacher, and Mady Handel. Sophomores players are; Hannah Anderson, Makenzy Mutziger and Taylor Toering. Rounding out the roster are Emma Powers, Payton Comp, Gracee Keiner, Kamryn Hyland, and Averie Larson. The girls will be coached by Jeff Neuharth and assisted by Ron LaMie.
“The team's strengths are speed in the guard position, and a really good post presence. We will need to play through our posts early in the season,” commented Coach Neuharth. The coach went on to say, “We will need to be more consistent in our execution and our ability to score the basketball."
