Lady Gymnasts finish 4th at Deuel Invitational

Chamberlain's gymnastics team traveled to Clear Lake to participate in the Deuel Invitational Gymnastics Meet on Sat., Jan. 27. The team finished in fourth place without the scores from Mikayden Weston, a top point competitor. Ciara Hough, also one of the top gymnasts, did not compete on the balance beam.

The Lady Cubs scored two more points than they did at the Deuel Meet last year, which encouraged the team as they head into Regions on Fri., Feb. 2, in Wagner. “Going into Regions on Friday at Wagner will be tough! We will need to work diligently this week at practice, try our hardest and hope for the best. I look for Parkston to be the team to beat, with Hot Springs, Chamberlain, Wagner, or Vermillion taking the next 2 spots to qualify for State. It will be fun and challenging. I feel attitude and confidence level will play a key role in the end results,” commented Coach Knippling.
