Lady WiLdKats bring home 8th place hardware
It was a big week for the Kimball/White Lake Lady WiLdKats as they participated in the 2018 Class B state volleyball tournament at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. KWL finished the tournament in 8th place. On Thurs., Nov. 15, KWL went up against the two-time defending state champions and the No. 1 seed, the Northwestern Wildcats. The opening set had the KWL Lady WiLdKats leading 13-8 and continued to lead through most of the set. Northwestern rallied back and scored the last ten points of the set winning, 25-19. In set 2, the Northwestern Wildcats took an early 7-0 lead and maintained the momentum through the entire set. Northwestern demonstrated why they are the No. 1 seed as they held the No. 8 KWL Lady WiLdKats to seven points and finished the set with a 25-7 win. Set 3 was another runaway for the Northwestern Wildcats. Their quick offense stunned the KWL team as Northwestern went on to defeat the KWL WiLdKats, 25-8.
